What's Involved?

Having your own website starts here.
Firstly, you choose a domain name that suits your purposes.
Then, check to see if this domain name is already in use here .
If the name isn't taken already, simply purchase the rights to use this name.
You may want this domain name for one year, maybe 5 years. You will be given notice via e-mail when your domain name is ready to expire, so renewal is your choice.
Secondly, you will need to buy 'hosting'. This is where a company hosts your website on their server, and charge you for the traffic capabilities.
If you have one webpage to compliment your advertising campaign, it should be cheap.
If you have a heavily detailed website, with perhaps music, software or video downloads, it will of course be more expensive.
Thirdly, you'll need the services of a webmaster, unless you wish to spend months, if not years of your precious time learning this skill.
When you are ready to proceed, I will need from you -
All passwords given to you from the domain people and the hosting people.
A description of what you wish to promote, including website words and pictures to be used.
There...it isn't difficult, it can be fun to create a cool website with your webmaster.
I look forward to your enquiry.
Kind Regards,
Peter Hipe
